In conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur International Gourmet Festival (KLIGF) 2005, Hilton Kuala Lumpur’s Chef Cheong Liew and Master of Wine Dr. Ron Georgiou MW will meet for their first ever ‘culinary and wine performance’ in a grand gala dinner themed “Pairing Cheong Liew’s Senses with Ron Georgiou’s Vintages A Gala Dinner Extravaganza”.
This year marks Hilton KL’s inaugural debut in the KLIGF, and what an impressive debut it is! Hilton KL is the first and only hotel to feature three restaurants in the KLIGF Chynna, Chinese cuisine; Senses by Cheong Liew, global cuisine; and Iketeru, Japanese cuisine.
The exclusive dinner, which will be held at the Grand Ballroom, will see the union of two fine figures in the culinary and wine industry. When world-renowned Malaysian-born Chef Cheong Liew is in action in the kitchen, he “travels” on an imaginary river, which takes him to the places of origin of his food, hence his well known culinary creations of East meets West. His culinary creations will be fused with humble local ingredients to the most exquisite imported ingredients. As for Dr. Ron Georgiou MW, he is one of only 245 Masters of Wine worldwide. He is responsible for the entire wine selection as well as wine pairing of all the restaurants in Hilton KL. Your culinary journey will be taken to newer heights with the wines especially paired by Dr. Ron Georgiou.
